Developing a “Digital World of Experience” for Financial Derivatives for a large German Financial Association
Starting Point
- The objective of the “Digital World of Experience” was to provide impulses for investing and reinvesting in investment certificates in an easy-to-understand manner and with a positive experience within the online brokerage environment for online custody account customers.
- Besides online custody account customers, advisory customers were also to receive impulses via corresponding communication channels, combined with the objective of increasing the online custody account customer ratio and overall sales of investment certificates.
Approach
- Describing the product specifications and mechanisms of the various interest rate derivatives (in total 12 product groups) and specifying the visual presentation of the products in the “Digital World of Experience” as input for the external development team.
- Formulating, maintaining and prioritizing the product items in the product backlog in Confluence.
- Reviewing implemented requirements in a test environment; creating tickets, if needed.
- Monitoring, reviewing and prioritizing tickets using a Jira Kanban board.
- Developing and designing appropriate marketing and communication tools or activities (including training materials and marketing slide decks for sales, flyers, promotional film, >10 road shows).
- Developing and planning a 3-step plan for the introduction of the “Digital World of Experience” (test phase with selected pilot banks, customer pilot testing and rollout for >200 banks).
