Developing and implementing an Asset Management Dashboard

Starting Point

  • In Asset Management, a central CAO database with a very high data volume was implemented.
  • In order to display selected information in a filtered manner, a high level of manual effort was required.
  • A solution was to be created that would allow selected information to be accessed quickly and with little effort.

Approach

  • Identifying relevant key performance indicators (KPI’s) to be mapped in a separate dashboard.
  • Establishing functionality for the dashboard users to calculate and break down each KPI down to the individual device and user.
  • Implementing a dashboard functionality that allows to transform a large amount of data into easy to handle and understandable overviews, such as tables or graphical elements.

Deliverables/Benefits

  • The Asset Management Dashboard provides the ability to quickly show and understand where assets are located and how they are distributed.
  • Efficient management and timely detection of errors related to relevant assets was enabled.
